💬 TORQ Chat – Tutorial & Overview
🧭 Accessing Chat

Click on “Chat” in the left sidebar to open all customer communications.

Displays up to the top 20 most recent conversations (from a list of thousands).

Star important conversations for easy return access.

Quick tabs available:

Starred – for favorited messages.
-
Recent – for latest interactions.
-
Unread – to catch up on missed communication.

📱 Communicating with Customers

Text (SMS)
-
Select a customer (e.g., Dave).
-
Type your message in the SMS field and press Send.
-
Message is delivered directly to the customer's phone via text.

Email
-
If a customer (e.g., Jared Bloominger) has an email on file:
-
Type and send an email directly from TORQ.
-
Emails appear to be from yourname@aftershockdd.com but are actually routed through TORQ's system.

Customer replies return to the TORQ chat interface.

WhatsApp
-
Currently not in use by your team.

🔁 Using Snippets (Preset Messages)

Snippets allow you to insert frequently used messages quickly.

Access snippets via the “Insert Snippet” button in the chat window.

Example: “Order is ready” – auto-fills with client name and pickup info.

To create new snippets:

Go to the Snippets tab at the top.

Add custom presets for commonly repeated messages.

📎 Sending Files

Use the attachment feature to send files (e.g., mockups, proofs).

Example: “Check out this yard sign – does it meet your approval?”

Files are delivered instantly through the same chat stream.

🧾 Viewing Customer Info

See a summary of the contact on the right-hand side of the chat window.

Click on it to open the full contact profile.
